For a debt you need to resolve
Lawyers in Dubai for debt settlement
You may want to resolve an unpaid balance without further dispute, or need terms you can realistically meet. Faris Raian and his team review the debt and any proposed arrangement. We help prepare or assess an offer and explain its effect before you agree.
Settlement can involve payment in full, instalments, revised terms or an agreed reduction. A creditor does not have to accept every proposal. We discuss what is supported by your circumstances without promising a discount or release.

Check the debt before agreeing the figure
We compare the demand with statements, repayments and the agreement. This helps identify disputed entries or a balance needing explanation. If legal proceedings already exist, we review the claim and orders alongside the account records.
Before making an offer, decide which obligations it should resolve. Different accounts, guarantees or parties may need separate treatment. An agreement should identify its scope so payment does not leave an unexpected demand unanswered.

Prepare a workable repayment proposal
For a person or business under financial pressure, a proposal should reflect money actually available. We review the requested schedule and supporting financial information. A missed instalment can have consequences, so the terms need careful assessment.
Creditors also need to consider whether a payment plan offers a practical route to recovery. We discuss timing, security where relevant and the effect of default. Accepting a smaller or later payment is a decision for the client after the risks are explained.
◇
Review bank and credit card settlement terms
Bank debts may involve several accounts, charges and formal collection steps. We review the offer, the creditor’s authority and what payment is meant to settle. Ask whether the written terms cover the full account or only part of the balance.
Consumer protection and complaint procedures may be relevant to a bank dispute. Their scope and eligibility need checking. A complaint does not itself cancel the debt or guarantee a revised payment plan.
✎
Put the agreement and release in writing
The agreement should identify the parties, amount, dates and effect of payment. We examine releases, default terms and any remaining security or obligation. If a reduced amount is accepted, the written terms should explain the status of the balance.
Before paying a third party, confirm its authority and the approved payment channel. Keep the accepted terms and proof of each payment. An informal message should not be assumed to settle every account or close every case.
✓
Check completion and existing proceedings
After payment, the next task may involve a receipt, account confirmation, release or application in an existing file. We assess which documents and formal steps the agreement requires. A private settlement does not automatically remove an existing court measure.
If a payment plan breaks down, seek a review of the agreement before assuming the original claim has revived or disappeared. The result depends on the wording and procedure. Share the complete settlement and record of payments made.

Debt management Dubai clients can discuss
When several debts are involved, one payment offer may not resolve the overall position. We help assess the legal demands, deadlines and settlement options together. This is legal advice about debt and disputes, rather than a promise to arrange new credit.
Severe financial difficulty may require separate advice on the relevant insolvency or restructuring framework. Eligibility and consequences depend on the person or business involved. Tell us about all known debts and existing proceedings so the review is complete.
